In this role, you will:
- Manage a portfolio of transitional, social, and affordable housing tenancies, ensuring compliance with legislation and organisational policies.
- Oversee tenancy processes including allocations, sign-ups, rent assessments, bonds, and arrears management.
- Conduct property inspections (ingoing, outgoing, and routine) and coordinate maintenance and contractor access.
- Handle tenancy matters such as breaches, disputes, and end-of-tenancy processes, including preparing documentation for NCAT where required.

From managing property inspections and maintenance to handling tenancy matters and working alongside tenants and their support services supporting vulnerable tenants, your work will be diverse, relationship-focussed and meaningful.
The Tenancy & Asset Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day management of a portfolio of transitional, social and affordable housing properties, including tenancy management, property inspections, maintenance coordination, allocations and tenancy sustainment.
The role works closely with a diverse range of tenants including people who may be experiencing vulnerability, housing instability or complex circumstances. The Tenancy & Asset Coordinator works in a respectful, consistent and professional manner to support tenancy stability, maintain positive tenant relationships ensure properties are well maintained, and housing programs are delivered in line with legislation, policy and community housing requirements.
The role also works collaboratively with tenant support services, support coordinators and community partners to support tenants to maintain their housing.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage a portfolio of community housing tenancies, including transitional, social and affordable housing.
- Complete property allocations, sign-ups, rent assessments and bond processes.
- Conduct ingoing, outgoing and routine inspections.
- Monitor rent accounts and manage arrears.
- Coordinate maintenance and contractor access.
- Manage tenancy issues, breaches and end of tenancy processes in a respectful and consistent manner.
- Prepare documentation and matters for NCAT where required.
- Work with internal teams, support services and external services to support tenancy sustainment and tenant wellbeing.
- Maintain accurate tenancy and property records.
- Ensure work is completed in line with legislation and organisational policies.
About You
You will have:
- Experience in tenancy management, community housing, property management or housing services.
- Knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act 2010 and the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal.
- Experience managing inspections, maintenance and tenancy matters.
- Strong communication, relationship building and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and a tenancy portfolio.
- Current driver licence.
Desirable:
Certificate IV in Social Housing, Property Services or similar.
